More Cherries helps Gout Evidence

This works. I woke up Wednesday morning and I could feel the familiar tightness around my ankle and prepared for an attack. I hit the culprit hard with my cherry remedy twice that day and by the next day, the tightness was gone and no attack. Keep in mind this is my attack season, I’ve gained the extra 5-10 pounds, I don’t drink as much water and I’m not getting as much exercise as I do in the summer. These are all things that keep uric acid from building up. So what is it that my cherry remedy does? Well it obviously helps to get rid of uric acid because on-going therapy is important but it curbs an attack so it must melt the uric acid crystals which is a very important aspect. Even after an attack uric acid crystals stay behind and it’s that continuing build-up that triggers an attack.

My personal Cherries Help Gout Study

Ok, there is something to this cherry and gout thing and I firmly believe that my personal ‘cherries help gout’ study is working.
I have gout and I mean badly. I’ve had it for 16 years and I have extreme gout. I’ve had it in my toe, ankle, knee, wrist and when it hits my knee (which is the worst) I have been on couch for 10 days unable to do anything other than hobble to the bathroom on one leg. During this time I only sleep about 3 hours a night because of the extreme pain.
I’ve written posts about the fact that it happens more during the winter because I’m not as active and I always seem to gain that extra 10 pounds. The other factor is I don’t drink as much water in the winter and I should.
Ok, I’m back, I just went around the trail on the property on cross country skis. Have my exercise for today.
So.. I’ve been doing my own study on using cherries to help curb my gout and it’s working.
Cherries do help, the past few winters have been bad for gout and this winter I haven’t had any major attacks at all. Cherries do help gout.
