My personal Cherries Help Gout Study
February 1, 2009 by admin

Ok, there is something to this cherry and gout thing and I firmly believe that my personal ‘cherries help gout’ study is working.
I have gout and I mean badly. I’ve had it for 16 years and I have extreme gout. I’ve had it in my toe, ankle, knee, wrist and when it hits my knee (which is the worst) I have been on couch for 10 days unable to do anything other than hobble to the bathroom on one leg. During this time I only sleep about 3 hours a night because of the extreme pain.
I’ve written posts about the fact that it happens more during the winter because I’m not as active and I always seem to gain that extra 10 pounds. The other factor is I don’t drink as much water in the winter and I should.
Ok, I’m back, I just went around the trail on the property on cross country skis. Have my exercise for today.
So.. I’ve been doing my own study on using cherries to help curb my gout and it’s working.
Cherries do help, the past few winters have been bad for gout and this winter I haven’t had any major attacks at all. Cherries do help gout.
